DOE Issues Supplemental Policy for Systematic Management of Retail Electricity Suppliers’ Reportorial Requirements
On 12 April 2023, the Department of Energy (“DOE”) issued Department Circular No. DC2023-04-0006 (“Circular”) providing supplemental policy for the systematic management of the DOE reportorial requirements for the electric power industry participants.
The Circular applies to all Suppliers, Local Suppliers, Green Energy Option Program (“GEOP”) Suppliers and Retail Aggregators (collectively referred to as “Retail Electricity Suppliers”) authorized by the Energy Regulatory Commission to sell, broker, market, or aggregate electricity to the end-users or in the case of GEOP Suppliers, authorized by the DOE.
All submissions by the Retail Electricity Suppliers shall be done through the DOE Electric Power Data Management System or DEPDMS Web Portal using the data structure and standard templates detailed in the following Annexes:

The DOE will exclusively utilize the information gathered for its monitoring, planning and policy development, and shall not use said information as evidence in court and other administrative proceedings.
For reports covering January, February and March 2023, submissions must be made by no later than 15 May 2023. Afterwards, regular deadlines shall be observed.
