Nelsien Tumala

Nelsien is an associate of the firm who specializes in corporate law, transactions, mergers & acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and data privacy. Her practice focuses on advising clients on corporate operations and governance, including incorporation, corporate secretarial works, share transfers, and dissolution.

She has been involved in conducting legal due diligence across multiple industries, with experience in the energy and consultancy sectors. Additionally, she assists clients in navigating regulatory frameworks and compliance matters involving the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the Land Transportation Office (LTO), among others.

Her background includes experience in regulatory advocacy and government relations, having served as an External and Government Affairs Officer, under the Compliance and Legal Division of a global automotive company. In that capacity, she lobbied for the company’s position on draft administrative issuances, proposed amendments thereto, and managed various applications with the Tariff Commission (TC), Department of Energy (DOE) and LTO. Prior to her legal career, she worked in financial operations within the shipping and banking industries.

Nelsien earned her Juris Doctor degree from Far Eastern University – Makati and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Export Management from De La Salle- College of St. Benilde, where she graduated Cum Laude.
