PEZA Amends the Documentary Requirements for the PEZA Visa

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (“PEZA”) issued Memorandum Circular (“MC”) No. 2022-062 on 14 September 2022, to amend the documentary requirements for the PEZA Visa.

Prior to the said MC, the notarized company’s letter request to be provided by locator companies in order to secure PEZA Visa, must be signed by its President or Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). Otherwise, they shall attach any of the following as proof/ attestation to the company’s authorized signatory/ies for visa application: (a) authorization letter signed by the President/ CEO; or (b) original Corporate Secretary’s Certificate; or (c) certified true copy of the Corporate Secretary’s Certificate signed by the Corporate Secretary.

However, with the issuance of MC No. 2022-062, the notarized company’s letter request may be signed not only by the President or CEO but also by any of the company officers indicated in its updated General Information Sheet (“GIS”) without additional proof required. If the signatory is other than the President, CEO, or officers in the updated GIS, that is the only time that the original or certified true copy of the Board Resolution or Secretary’s Certificate authorizing such signatory must be submitted.
